I am an artist with the intention of creating 8 to10 more pieces in a series I have started. My goal is to finish enough pieces and to obtain a showing of my work in the next 6 months or so. The progression of my ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) requires me to work with someone who can help put my creative concepts into form.
Over the past 20 years, I have been a Psychotherapist, Life Coach and Trainer for Coaches. I have worked as an Art Therapist and Jungian Sand Play Therapist. My recent pieces use metaphor and reflect archetypes and concepts used in coaching.
In addition to creating new art pieces, I have a vision of how to make this type of work into workshops or trainings where others create art that celebrates who they are and reminds them of who they want to become.
Because of the limitation of my illness, I no longer have much income, and therefore want to co-design a partnership where the pay is the collaboration, what I can teach you or what we can share and trade.
I work in mixed medium constructions. I need someone familiar with wood, acrylic and or oil painting, collage, photography in Photoshop and working with glue and epoxy.
Because of the fairly quick progression of my disease, time is of the essence. I envision a timeline of working together starting as soon as possible and into early summer. I prefer afternoon and evenings over mornings and envision 2-5 hours a day maybe 3 or 4 days a week.
I am totally open to designing how this looks to accommodate the right person. It may be possible to offer room and board during time we are working. I live in a beautiful, peaceful setting in Bailey, bordering Pike National forest.
Please contact me if you, someone you know, or a resource you know of is available. I would love to discuss the options available for a collaboration.
I can be reached by phone at 303-816-5098 or by email. If you use email, please put “Artist Assistant” in the reference line.
My gratitude is great for any effort to connect me with my new art hands,
Ilene Kouzel
